• Proficiency in ultrasound imaging techniques and equipment operation.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to diagnostic sonography.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and teams.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate imaging and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions within scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Performs all ultrasound procedures independently, adhering to department protocols and ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging results.
• Verifies patient identification and ensures procedures are ordered and acknowledged before imaging.
• Recognizes and documents pathologies during scanning for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintains patient safety, comfort, and care during imaging procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment with compliance to safety guidelines.
• Operates ultrasound equipment safely per departmental policies and manufacturer guidelines.
• Documents procedures and patient information in the EMR and scans documents into PACS.
• Monitors supplies and coordinates inventory replenishment as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains regular attendance.
