Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound examinations under physician direction, ensuring accurate imaging and high-quality patient care at Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton, CO.

Requires ARDMS registries, BLS certification, and per COVID and pediatric experience guidelines. The role includes supervision of students and collaboration with radiology teams within a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• ARDMS registries beyond Ultrasound Technologist I are required.
• BLS certification required (Healthcare Providers).
• Ultrasound Technologist II requires 2 additional years of relevant experience, pediatric experience preferred.
• ARDMS registries options include OB/GYN, abdomen, neuro, breast, pediatric, vascular, or RDCS; pediatric registry required as noted.
• Preferred: 1+ year of additional experience or registries.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARDMS competency across exams.
• Identify patient, verify orders, and prepare for the exam.
• Perform exams per protocol and review images for quality.
• Complete studies within department time standards.
• Instruct students and staff on exam protocols and equipment.
• Provide patient education and comfort.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
• Keep accurate records of patient information and procedures.
• Follow coding, charging, consents, QC, and report equipment failures.
