Job description

We are searching for a PRN (as needed) Medical Sonographer (Ultrasound Technologist) to work in our medical clinic and be cross-trained to perform some administrative and clinical duties. This position is in and around San Antonio, Texas with the potential for travel within central Texas.


The Ultrasound Technologist will perform echocardiographic exams, screening of all arterial and venous, upper and lower extremities, and screening of thyroid, aorta, and renal exams. Screening and Diagnostic exams may be performed.


Essential Functions:
  1. Perform patient exams to include:
    1. Carotid ultrasound.
    2. Thyroid ultrasound.
    3. Aortic aneurysm screening.
    4. Kidney ultrasound.
    5. Limited Echocardiogram (training will be provided).
    6. Lower Extremity US.
  2. Submission of high-quality images and documentation.
  3. Enter and maintain accurate electronic patient records.
  4. Ensure patient rooms are clean, sterilized, safe, and organized with adequate supplies and well-functioning equipment.
  5. Communicate with patients, helping each understand the US screening process.
  6. Deliver compassionate patient care and customer satisfaction.
  7. Precise, Professional Communication with management team.

Education and Experience:
  1. 2+ years experience.
  2. Certified Medical Sonographer.
  3. Preferred: Registered Vascular Technician or Vascular Ultrasound Technician.
  4. Must be willing to train on Echo.
  5. Accountability.
  6. Attention to detail.

Job Types: Part-time, PRN

Salary: From $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week

  1. Day shift: 8:00a-5:30p.
  2. Monday to Saturday.

Travel requirement:
  1. Up to 25% travel.

Experience:
  1. Sonography: 2 years (Required).

Language:
  1. Spanish (Preferred).

License/Certification:
  1. BLS Certification (Preferred).
  2. ARRT Certification (Preferred).

Ability to Commute:
  1. San Antonio, TX (Required).

Willingness to travel:
  1. 25% (Preferred).
