Charlotte Radiology, a trusted leader in clinical imaging and patient care for over 50 years, is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist. With over 40 locations and a team of 500+ professionals, we prioritize quality, teamwork, and patient-centered services.

Position Summary: Performs ultrasound scans to produce high-quality examinations, ensuring patient safety and providing excellent care. Must be able to work at least 2 shifts per month and cover multiple sites. Compensation is $46.50/hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Verify orders and patient requests, address discrepancies with Radiologists.
• Operate ultrasound equipment, produce quality images following physician directives and safety standards.
• Complete paperwork accurately, including orders, lab work, and authorizations.
• Perform basic patient care and communicate with nursing staff as needed.
• Manage radiology computer systems and monitor supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate with PACS/IT for imaging distribution and communicate protocols with Radiologists.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.
• ARDMS, RVT certification, and BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of ultrasound experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Adhere to departmental protocols and regulations.
• Review patient history and communicate effectively with medical staff.
• Report equipment issues promptly.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; have positive communication skills.
• Differentiate artifacts and recognize imaging abnormalities.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Full day of walking and standing.
• Lifting over 50 lbs.
• Work with bio-hazardous materials.
