Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for Maternal Fetal Medicine on a PRN Day Shift (Mondays and Thursdays). You will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, verify orders and patient identity, and document results in the EHR with PACS upload for radiologist interpretation.

The role requires 1–3 years of ultrasound experience, ARDMS/ARRT eligibility, and BCLS within 7 days of employment. 401(k) with matching is offered as a benefit.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of ultrasound technologist experience required.
• 2–4 years of ultrasound technologist experience preferred.
• ARDMS or ARRT certification eligibility required.
• BCLS certification obtained within 7 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures independently following protocols to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging.
• Verifies patient identity and that appropriate procedures are ordered prior to imaging.
• Documents imaging procedures and patient information in the EHR and uploads to PACS.
• Maintains equipment safety, infection control, and inventory of imaging materials.
• Delivers patient care with safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
