Job summary

Mental Health Cooperative's Behavioral Care Center in Nashville is seeking a PRN Therapist to provide individual and group counseling with a focus on prevention, recovery, and resiliency.

You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to promote optimum mental health, develop and update treatment plans, and support discharge planning and follow-up services as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mental Health field.
• Licensed or license eligible.
• Valid Tennessee Driver’s License.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Acceptable Criminal Background Investigation.
• Personal Automobile Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Utilize evidenced based treatment modalities to assist Consumers in achieving treatment goals.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of residents' behavioral health needs and update treatment goals and interventions as needed.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs and consumers’ progress toward defined objectives.
• Refer patients, consumers or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary.
• Meet with families, team providers, care managers to exchange necessary information during the treatment process.
• Assist in the development of discharge plans and provide follow-up services as needed.
• Provide trainings on topics related to mental health, engagement, and de-escalation techniques.
• Learn about new developments in their field by reading professional literature, attending courses and seminars, establishing and maintaining contact with other social service agencies.

Job Summary:
