Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling with emphasis on prevention, recovery, and resiliency.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Assess residents' behavioral health needs and update treatment goals as needed.
• Evaluate counseling program effectiveness and progress toward defined objectives.
• Refer patients to community resources or to specialists as necessary.
• Meet with families and care managers to exchange information during treatment.
• Assist in discharge planning and provide follow-up services as needed.
• Provide trainings on mental health engagement and de-escalation techniques.
• Stay current with field developments by reading literature and attending courses.
