Touchstone Medical Imaging is seeking a PRN Technologist Assistant at our Norman, OK location. The role assists technologists to maintain an on-time schedule and orderly imaging operations across modalities.

You will engage with patients, prepare exam rooms, and help ensure a smooth, friendly patient experience in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma and some radiology exposure or related patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to changing room; explain procedure.
• Provide pre-exam screening and instructions.

• Support technologists during scan and contrast, as needed.
• Maintain smooth patient throughput and center schedules.
• Prepare exam rooms between patients and ensure proper setup.

Touchstone Medical Imaging is seeking a PRN Technologist Assistant for our location in Norman, OK. The Technologist Assistant will be responsible for providing assistance to all Technologists in the center in areas that allow the Technologist to maintain an on-time schedule and run the diagnostic imaging scanning area in an orderly fashion.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Duties/Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the company’s values in daily activities
• Greets and escorts patients to changing room; briefly explains procedure
• Provides pre-exam screening and instructions
• Assists patients on and/or off table when requested by technologist
• Supports technologists throughout scan and contrast administration, as required
• Manages post-scan patient hand‑off
• Ensures efficient, friendly, and smooth patient experience for all patients who enter the center
• Ensures smooth patient throughput of the entire center and all modalities
• Monitors center modality schedules
• Adjusts patients schedule when necessary and keeping all techs informed of any changes
• Prepares room set up between patients, including putting proper coil on table, putting previous coil away and changing table sheet
• Helps the technologist stay on time by having the next patient ready before the current patient is ready to get off the table
• Provides front‑end coverage as needed
• Attends trainings to stay up to date on best practices and certifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
• Skill in written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines
• Ability to deliver high quality customer service to internal and external customers by communicating with integrity and compassion
• Ability to resolve service recovery issues and understand when to escalat to the next level
• Ability to convey complex subject matter clearly and engagingly

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Radiology Technology student or 12 months previous experience in diagnostic radiology or other imaging modality preferred
• Nursing Assistant or any previous patient care/medical care role
• Knowledge of medical terminology
