Assists patients with preparation for imaging exams, including changing into appropriate attire and verifying identification under supervision. Supports technologists during procedures by positioning patients, moving equipment, or preparing exam rooms as directed. Cleans and restocks imaging rooms between patients, ensuring cleanliness, infection control compliance, and readiness for next exam. Maintains adequate inventory of linens, supplies, and equipment, alerting appropriate staff when items are low. Answers phones, relays messages, and assists with communication between technologists, nursing, and other departments to support efficient workflow. Greets, escorts, and transports patients to and from imaging areas, ensuring safety, comfort, and timely movement throughout the department. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of communication styles and constant deployment of proper engagement behaviors when encountering patients, staff, and physicians. Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to display professional interactions with all levels of internal and external customers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Effectively able to problem solve in complex situations. Ability to adapt to new situations and responsibilities. Must have the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care that addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the department.
