Job summary

Eye Surgery Center of New Albany is seeking a Scrub Technician / Surgical Technician (PRN) to support the operating room team under the supervision of Surgeons, RNs and Surgical Assistants, ensuring sterile technique and proper instrument handling during procedures. The role requires flexibility within Monday–Friday 6am–5pm, with no late nights or weekends.

A high school diploma is required, with favorable background checks, basic computer skills and a strong customer service mindset; BLS

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of hospital main operating room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties ethically and legally within certification scope.
• Complies with HIPAA regulations.
• Scrubs all case types and anticipates surgeon needs with ready instruments and supplies.
• Operates OR equipment and assists with patient transfer to PACU when needed.
• Maintains sterile technique and prepares specimens for lab analysis.
• Gathers supplies and assists with case setup and turnover.
