Job summary

Shriners Children’s Spokane is seeking a PRN Surgical Technologist II to support the operating room team with sterile technique and preoperative setup. No weekends or nights required, with opportunities to contribute to high-quality pediatric surgical care.

Responsibilities include case preparation, instrument counts, and maintaining equipment readiness while ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist License required.
• BLS certification required.
• CST certification preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a sterile field and provide equipment and supplies.
• Assist in sponge, sharps and instrument counts and visualize operative site.
• Pull cases independently using preference sheets and OR lists.
• Review lists and equipment prior to case start.
• Scrub in and ensure equipment is ready before patient arrival.
• Document equipment efficacy and sterilization accurately.
