Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents patients and families’ needs for quality care data.
• Gathers and analyzes data to formulate initial nursing care and discharge plans.
• Identifies and reports patient condition abnormalities to anesthesia or surgeon.
• Observes and assesses patients during the stay in the outpatient surgery department.
• Documents medications, drug allergies, and patient information.
• Implements and documents nursing interventions and physician orders.
• Prepares and administers medications, IV fluids, and blood products.
