Lee Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist II for The Sanctuary outpatient surgery center in Fort Myers, FL. This PRN role supports perioperative teams and requires BLS certification and an accredited training program in surgical technology.

Shift 1/8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; compensation identified as $35.30 per hour with potential call obligations. Minimum experience is one year in a current surgical technologist position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of accredited surgical technologist program or accredited vocational nursing program.
• Minimum of 1 year of current surgical technologist experience.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the AHA is required.
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification through NBSTSA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• The surgical technologist II functions in a perioperative surgical technologist role under the direction of the circulating RN.
• Able to prioritize, organize and implement care of the surgical patient in a variety of specialties.
• Performs call obligations as assigned.

Requirements

Education: High School graduate or equivalent, and graduate of accredited program for surgical technologists or accredited vocational school of nursing.

Experience:Must have at least one (1) year of current experience

Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) through the AHA (American Heart Association) required. CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) through the NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) preferred.
