Job summary

PruittHealth - North Carolina State Veterans Home is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. This PRN on-site role at Black Mountain, NC focuses on delivering patient-centered therapy and improving communication and swallowing function.

Qualifications include a Master’s in SLP from an ASHA-accredited program and NC licensure; CCC-SLP is preferred. Clinical Fellowship candidates are considered.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
• Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of practice (NC).
• CCC-SLP preferred; Clinical Fellowship candidates considered where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Perform dysphagia, cognitive, and communication assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patient goals.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and caregivers.
• Educate patients and families on treatment objectives and outcomes.
