PruittHealth - North Carolina State Veterans Home in Black Mountain, NC seeks a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) / Speech Therapist for PRN work. You will evaluate, treat, and support patients with communication and swallowing needs, collaborating with a care team to achieve outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's in SLP and current state licensure; CF candidates considered. Experience in rehab or post-acute care is preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
• Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of practice.
• Clinical Fellowship candidates considered where applicable.
• Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, home health, or post-acute care preferred.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Perform dysphagia, cognitive, and communication assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patient goals.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and caregivers.
• Educate patients and families on treatment objectives and outcomes.
