South Campus Care Center in Leesburg, FL seeks a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for PRN roles in a skilled nursing setting. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans to recover communication, swallowing, and cognitive function for residents.

Qualifications

• Current Speech Language Pathologist License in the state.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least one year of Skilled Nursing experience preferred.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence.
• Passionate about post-acute rehabilitation and the older adult population.
• Ability to relate and interact positively with residents, family, staff.

Responsibilities

• Create, administer and organize individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Instruct clients in communication techniques including sign language, lip reading and voice improvement.
• Educate patients and families about communication techniques and strategies to cope with misunderstandings.
• Coordinate with the dietary department regarding rehabilitation lunches for patients with swallow dysfunctions.
