What you will do in this role:

• Help patients recover and improve their well-being by providing therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
• Communicate patient progress or issues to supervisors and team members; assist with scheduling and posting charges to patient records daily.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accreditation standards.
• Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in follow-up programs.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Perform responsibilities in accordance with the company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, professional standards, and applicable laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a master’s level program in Speech Language Pathology accredited by the Education Standards Board or meeting ASHA certification requirements.
• Meet education and experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology by ASHA.
• Minimum of six months experience as a speech therapist or speech-language pathologist working with adult and geriatric populations.
• Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of service.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
