Position Overview

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an Accredited Program
• Valid or pending State Speech Language Pathology License

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, review, and screen patients' medical charts, conduct evaluations under physician order, and develop treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Plan, direct, or conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive issues; administer, score, and interpret specialized speech tests.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers on monitoring speech, practicing new skills, diet modifications, and safe swallowing techniques.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to relay clinical findings and make recommendations, as well as family meetings/education.
