Job summary

Select Medical Rehabilitation in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our inpatient post-ICU rehabilitation team. The role requires evaluation and treatment of communication and swallowing, collaboration with interdisciplinary staff, and participation in program development.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
• BLS or completion within 90 days of employment required.
• CCC from ASHA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take initiative, responsibility, and action every day; understand physical, mental, psychological and social needs of patients.
• Collaborate with associates to provide quality interdisciplinary patient programming.
• Provide comprehensive evaluation of communication skills and/or swallowing function and goal‑oriented treatment.
• Monitor the quality of services provided by Rehab Therapy Department.
• Participate in peer review for staff performance and appraisals.
• Assist in developing the SLP programs and services, and revising policies and procedures.
• Maintain adequate stock of supplies.
• Share professional knowledge and alert Manager to educational needs.
