Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for Outpatient Adult Therapy in Pensacola, FL. This PRN role focuses on delivering therapy interventions, educating patients and families, and maintaining accurate clinical records.

Discharge planning and connecting patients with support programs are included. Florida SLP credential and BLS within 30 days are required; licensure must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or transfer date.
• Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Florida Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology obtained prior to hire date or transfer date; provisional license accepted until issued; license must be obtained within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques for the patient.
• Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plans.
• Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations.
• Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services.
• Provide information regarding appropriate support programs.
