Wesley Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist PRN to join our team in Wichita, KS. You will assess, diagnose, treat and educate patients with feeding, swallowing, communication and cognitive disorders, and coordinate discharge planning.

Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, documenting outcomes, communicating with families and staff, and supervising students. State licensure in Kansas and ASHA CCC are required; BLS is also needed.

Qualifications

• Current BLS verification as per policy
• State license in Kansas for Speech Language Pathology
• CCC through ASHA (required)
• New graduates must obtain CCC within 18 months
• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Previous clinical experience required

Responsabilités

• Identifies, prevents, diagnoses, treats and plans discharge for patients with feeding, swallowing, communication or cognitive disorders
• Evaluates swallow, feeding, communication and cognitive status using appropriate materials
• Develops and implements a written treatment plan
• Communicates results and follow-up plans with patients, families, physicians and staff
• Documents all patient-related activities clearly and timely
• Completes discharge planning and written discharge summary
• Provides educational sessions to families, patients, physicians and staff
• Supervises Speech Language Pathology students during clinical affiliations
