Job summary

Northeast Georgia Rehabilitation Institute is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) on a PRN basis to provide therapy for adults and geriatric patients, focusing on speech, language, cognition, and swallowing. The role emphasizes collaboration with the care team and documentation to meet compliance standards.

The position requires a master's level degree in SLP, ASHA CCC eligibility or certification, an active state license, CPR, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology approved by the Education Standards Board or meets ASHA CCC requirements.
• CCC-SLP eligibility with ASHA certification requirements or current CCC-SLP status is preferred.
• Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities for adults and geriatric patients.
• Document patient care per regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
• Communicate patient progress to supervisor and team; assist with patient scheduling and daily post charges.
• Educate patients and families on follow-through programs and provide caregiver instruction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
