Job summary

CommuniCare's Pleasant Ridge Healthcare Center in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join an in-house therapy team dedicated to delivering high-quality communication, swallowing, and cognitive care. The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, a state license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an Accredited Program.
• Speech Therapy License (Required). Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must demonstrate competency in therapy treatment and evaluation principles, techniques, materials and equipment utilization.
• Knowledge of state and federal accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, review, and screen charts/evaluations under physician order and develop a treatment plan.
• Plan, direct, or conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive skills.
• Administer, score, and interpret specialized speech tests.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and practice new skills.
• Maintain patient records accurately and timely; participate in continuing education and stay compliant with regulations.
