Job summary

Madrid Home Communities is seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist to join our therapy team on our Cedar Falls main campus. The role involves providing services across outpatient, skilled nursing, and long-term care settings to adult and geriatric patients.

The SLP will develop and implement treatment plans focused on functional, measurable outcomes, collaborating with a supportive team and maintaining strong communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid license or eligible for licensure to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Iowa.
• High level communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Effective leadership and customer relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Participates directly in evaluation, care plan development and delivery of treatment interventions and services related to swallowing disorders, dysphagia, and communication disorders.
• Provides direct patient care to primarily adult and geriatric patients.
• Provides screenings and evaluations to determine requirements for skilled speech therapy intervention relative to patient’s prior level of function.
