Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks a Speech Language Pathologist (PRN) to evaluate and treat patients, plan therapy, and educate families to restore speech, language and swallowing abilities. Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting are essential. Masters degree required, with SLP licensure in Texas.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Licensure as SLP in Texas required or eligible.
• BLS certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• <1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, treats and monitors patient within the speech pathology treatment plan.
• Performs thorough clinical documentation in a timely manner; enters charges accurately.
• Communicates effectively with patients and families and with the medical care team.
• Supervises students and volunteers; mentors clinical fellows per ASHA guidelines.
• Advances clinical skills through ongoing education and evidence-based practice.
• Maintains awareness of system goals and aligns activities accordingly.
