Job summary

Baptist Health Louisville Speech Pathology is seeking a PRN Speech Pathologist for Louisville Therapies. The role includes evaluation, treatment, and plan-of-care development for adults and geriatrics, with emphasis on dysphagia and speech-language disorders.

Licensed SLP in Kentucky with CCC-ASHA credentials and CPR certification is required; NICU experience is strongly preferred, with a mix of acute and outpatient settings. Sign-on bonus available for experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech-Language Pathology by the State of Kentucky.
• CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) from ASHA.
• NICU experience strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification obtained or to be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, evaluate and treat patients as assigned.
• Develop an outcome-oriented plan of care and share knowledge with patient and family.
• Provide treatment based on plan of care and revise as necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and complete appropriate charging for services.

PRN Speech Pathologist , Louisville Therapies

Where You’ll Be:

The Baptist Health Louisville Speech Pathology team is focused on providing collaborative patient-centered care. Our team consists of a range of experiences from 1-20+ years. We serve patients that from adult and geriatric with an emphasis ondysphagia and speech/language or cognitive disorders. Treatment is typically a combination of acute care and outpatient rehabilitation.

Diagnoses and treats communication and/swallowing disorders as assigned. Diagnoses may include, but are not limited to neurological disorders, deficits due to injury or surgery, developmental or acquired speech, language and swallowing disorders, hearing impairment, voice or fluency disorders, impaired cognition, sensorimotor deficits. Cooperates with other departments and therapies in the comprehensive approach to patient care.

What You’ll Do:

1. Schedule, evaluate and treat patients as assigned

2. Develop an outcome-oriented plan of care, including patient and family knowledge sharing

3. Provide a treatment-based on plan of care, and revise as necessary

4. Accurately maintain all patient documentation, including computerized documentation, and complete appropriate charging for evaluation, treatment and teaching
