Job summary

A healthcare provider in Elmwood Park is looking for a PRN Speech Language Pathologist to deliver speech and language therapy, develop treatment plans, and train clients and families. Candidates must have an active Illinois license in Speech-Language Pathology and preferably experience in skilled nursing facilities. This role promotes a collaborative work environment aimed at enhancing client independence and functionality.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois license required for practice.

PRN Speech Language Pathologist Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled, medically necessary speech and language therapy assessments as well as develop and implement individualized treatment plans to increase client’s independence and functioning.
• Provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
• Provide training and education to clients, family, caregivers, and other professionals as a subject matter expert.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other professionals for diagnostic swallowing procedures (MBSS, FEES) as ordered by physician.

Requirements

PRN Speech Language Pathologist Qualifications:

• Active/Valid Illinois license in Speech-Language Pathology
• SNF/Long term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of treatment practices
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
