Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Patrol hospital premises for security, safety, and fire protection.
  • Assume fixed security posts for protection and assistance.
  • Provide escorts for individuals and property as needed.
  • Conduct fire inspections and preliminary investigations of criminal acts.
  • Identify and apprehend unauthorized persons on hospital grounds.
  • Respond to security and fire alarms appropriately.
  • Complete daily operational reports and maintain confidentiality.
  • Interact professionally and helpfully with all hospital personnel, visitors, and patients.
Credentials
  • PA Act - Trng to Cry Lthl Wpns (Required)
  • Pennsylvania State Act 235 certification (required after six months)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
  • CPR Certification (required after six months)
Education and Experience
  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Previous law enforcement, security experience, or college education in criminal justice preferred.
