Spartanburg Regional is seeking a PRN RN to provide patient care in a cardiac stepdown unit. Position Summary
Under general supervision, the RN demonstrates and utilizes knowledge and skills to provide direct age-specific and culturally appropriate patient care through the nursing process. The role involves serving as a clinical resource, participating in patient and staff education, demonstrating leadership, and serving as a preceptor. Unit Description
4 Heart is a 32-bed cardiac stepdown unit caring for patients with chest pain, congestive heart failure, and those requiring surgery for heart, vascular, and thoracic conditions. The unit also manages post-op open-heart patients. Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3 or 1:4, with a charge nurse available on all shifts. This unit is ideal for those eager to learn within a broad patient base and who enjoy teamwork.
