Job Responsibilities
  1. Provide direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with scope and standards of practice.
  2. Perform care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  3. Document patient care accurately.
  4. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
  5. Assist patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.
  6. Coordinate patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
  7. Assess and educate patients and families based on their needs, age, and cultural background.
  8. Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned, potentially including duties of CNA, MA, or LPN.
  10. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, projects, and committees.
  11. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
  12. Work scheduled shifts, including overtime and call schedules.
  13. Maintain a professional appearance and comply with dress code.
  14. Follow safety protocols regarding occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
  15. Report to the Director of Skilled Care.
Qualifications
Minimum Education

Associate's degree required.

Required Skills

Certifications

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

License

Licensed Registered Nurse in Tennessee or from a Compact State with proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
