Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the Special Care Unit. You will provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process, lead a care team, and collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to meet age-appropriate standards.

Responsibilities include patient/family centered care, maintaining a safe environment, and coordinating care and outcomes. Minimum requirements include ADN, 1 year RN experience, SC compact licensure, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum 1 year of RN work experience.
• Active SC Nursing licensure or compact state license required.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Direct and lead other assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide patient/family centered care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural and environmental needs.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment with patient privacy and professional behavior.
• Coordinate care and apply care management principles to improve patient outcomes.
