Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for Florence, SC. You will provide nursing care using the nursing process, lead care teams, and deliver patient/family centered care in a multidisciplinary environment.

Minimum requirements include an Associate's Degree in Nursing, an active RN license (SC or compact), and a current BLS certification. This PRN position offers 8 scheduled hours with on-site work as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Registered Nurse license in good standing (SC or compact state).
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification or Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Directs and leads other team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to provide age-appropriate care.
• Delivers patient/family centered care including health teaching and promotion, addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental needs.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment with attention to privacy and professional conduct.
• Participates in professional practice model, shared governance, and continuous professional development.
• Coordinates effective delivery of patient care using care management principles to improve outcomes.
• Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and accountability in a team setting.
