PRN REGISTERED NURSE-PAIN MANAGEMENT

In our state-of-the-art facilities, you are able to work directly with our providers using your education and talents to take care of athletes of all ages and skill levels. Our team is fast-paced and efficient with a focus on patients and their care. In this role, you will assist the provider with spinal injections for pain management and maintaining high-quality patient care.

Position is based out of our Chardon location and requires Saturday hours.

Position Purpose:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the achievement of patient outcomes in accordance with the mission of the facility. To maintain a high standard of safety for the patient and staff members. Patient liaison for care rendered. Monitor stock levels, outdated supplies, and equipment needs and report to Clinic Manager.

Interpersonal Relationships

As a representative of our practice, all comments, attitudes, actions, and behaviors have a direct effect on the facility's image and perceptions of quality service. Interaction with patients, family members, physicians, referral sources, affiliating schools, visitors, etc. must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional. This behavior should promote an atmosphere of teamwork congruent with facility standards and guidelines to promote positive relations and set an example for the staff.

Position Requirements

Licenses or Certifications: Current licensure to practice in the State of Ohio. Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support Course; ACLS preferred, and PALS preferred.

Education and Vocational Training: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. Current ACLS preferred and PALS certificate preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in spinal injections and pain management preferred.

  • Assumes a leadership role in the provision of quality nursing care for patients receiving care.
  • Demonstrates continued competence in assessing, treating, and caring for individuals based upon age-specific needs utilizing a developmental perspective.
  • Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of designated skills identified for position.

  • Completes all documentation to ensure the availability of accurate and up-to-date information in accordance with established standards.

Environmental Conditions:

Work is indoors in a climate-controlled environment. Patient care environment with potential exposure to unpleasant odors, to blood and body fluids that may carry infection, to infectious disease, and to chemical and electrical hazards. Occasional exposure to outdoor climate.

Physical Requirements:

Physical requirements for the position include the ability to frequently hear and communicate orally, see up close and at a distance, read and comprehend, stand, sit, walk, reach, handle, and feel objects. Ability to climb, pull, push, and kneel. Ability to push a gurney with a 150 lb. patient. Maximum unassisted lift = over 100 lbs. Ability to wear lead apron and push heavy equipment.
