Job summary

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft in Houston, TX is seeking a PRN RN PACU to deliver safe, compassionate care for patients recovering from anesthesia. You will monitor and support patients, ensuring comfort and privacy while coordinating with the care team.

As a PACU RN, you may assist in procedure rooms and must adapt to the surgical schedule. Weekdays only; no holidays, weekends, or call, with some early mornings or late shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and family needs for discharge.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms as needed and support sterile technique.
