Qualifications

• Current active RN license in the state of employment.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific/technical information in English.
• Full range of body motion with ability to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and hear adequately to meet job requirements.
• Experience in long-term geriatric care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines.
• Record time spent on treatments on the medication/treatment record.
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs per facility policies.
• Notify physician of refusals, non-compliance, and adverse reactions.
• Keep medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat and properly stocked.
• Assist in orientation and training of new nursing personnel.
• Practice and supervise infection control and safety policies.
