Job summary

BrightStar Care seeks a compassionate Pediatric Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one nursing care to medically fragile children in their homes. The RN will implement physician-ordered care plans, monitor patient conditions, educate families, and ensure safety and high clinical standards.

The position offers flexible PRN scheduling and meaningful, family-centered care across Texas with travel to patient homes as needed.

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted RN license in Texas.
CPR/BLS certification required.
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Provide skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in the home setting.
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing evaluations.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor and document patient responses to interventions.
Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly notify appropriate healthcare providers.
Follow physician orders and implement individualized care plans.
