Job summary

SierraVista in Johnstown, CO is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for our psychiatric and substance use disorder facility. This floor RN role focuses on safe, evidence-based care during the night shift on a behavioral health unit.

You will administer medications, monitor responses, and de-escalate crises while collaborating with physicians and therapists to ensure continuity of care. Training is provided for mental health-specific tasks.

Qualifications

• Current RN license (in good standing).
• ADN considered with relevant experience.
• Psychiatric/behavioral health nursing experience is a plus; training provided.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Must be 21 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care in a psychiatric/behavioral health setting.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Respond to crises with de-escalation and intervention techniques.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Accurately document patient progress and maintain standards compliance.
• Educate and reassure patients to support long-term wellness.

Job Address: 4770 Larimer Pkwy Johnstown, CO 80534

Pay Range: $41 - $49/hr
Schedule: Full-Time Night 3 x 12's and every other weekend rotation

What You’ll Do

• Delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care in a psychiatric and behavioral health setting
• Administering medications and closely monitoring patient responses
• Responding to crises with confidence, using de-escalation and intervention techniques
• Collaborating with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure continuity of care
• Accurately documenting patient progress and maintaining compliance with all standards
• Offering education and reassurance to patients, helping them stay on track toward long-term wellness

What We’re Looking For

• Current RN license (in good standing).
• ADN considered with relevant experience.
• Prior psychiatric/behavioral health nursing experience a plus but not required training provided.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Must be 21 years or older.
