Job summary

SierraVista is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (Floor RN) for a Psychiatric & Substance Use Disorder Facility in Johnstown. You will deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care, administer medications, monitor patient responses, and assist in crisis situations to support patient recovery.

The role requires an active RN license in good standing; ADN is acceptable with relevant experience. Training is provided; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• ADN considered with relevant experience.
• Psychiatric/behavioral health nursing experience a plus; training provided.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care in a psychiatric and behavioral health setting.
• Administering medications and closely monitoring patient responses.
• Responding to crises with de-escalation and intervention techniques.
• Collaborating with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Accurately documenting patient progress and maintaining compliance with all standards.
• Offering education and reassurance to patients, helping them stay on track toward long-term wellness.

Pay Range: $41 - $49/hr
Schedule: Full-Time Night 3 x 12's and every other weekend rotation

What We’re Looking For

• Current RN license (in good standing).
• ADN considered with relevant experience.
• Prior psychiatric/behavioral health nursing experience a plus but not required training provided.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Must be 21 years or older.
