Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner for PRN shifts in Maryland. You will provide respiratory therapy per physician orders, monitor equipment, and ensure safe, effective care for diverse patient populations.

The role requires an AMA-accredited respiratory care program graduate with an AAS or higher, and licensure in Maryland or DC with CPR/ACLS expectations. Prior acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in respiratory care from an AMA-accredited program required (AAS or higher).
• Bachelor's degree in related healthcare field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to department goals and adhere to policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Assess patient physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs and document.
• Perform all respiratory therapies and services, monitor equipment, and manage therapy delivery.
