Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
• Certifications NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Professional, BLS, ACLS (all required upon hire).
• 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills.
• Ability to establish effective relationships with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, therapy planning, and documentation.
• Administer aerosolized medications, oxygen, and medical gases.
• Manage ventilators, including weaning and waveform interpretation.
• Handle airway management procedures (intubation, extubation, tracheostomy care).
• Educate patients, mentor new staff, and support team development.
• Participate in invasive and non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics.
• Ensure patient safety through accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practices.
