Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital - Lafayette is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist for Day Shifts in Lafayette, LA, to provide respiratory care in a long-term acute care setting with ventilation and related therapies.

Requirements include completion of an approved respiratory care program, active Louisiana license, BLS and ACLS, 1–3 years of experience, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved respiratory care program.
• Active Louisiana Respiratory Therapist License.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Minimum of one to three years of related work experience.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Direct and indirect patient care in the long-term acute care setting.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and co-workers.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
