The Transport RRT will provide safe, timely, high-quality care during the transport of neonatal and pediatric patients, as well as other patients requiring transport as determined by the transport medical directors. Perform all duties outlined in the Registered Respiratory Therapist-Critical Care job description. Provide family-centered care to infants from birth through pediatric patients during inter-hospital transports. Initiate emergency protocols independently, following ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE guidelines. Practice in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and standards; operate within protocols and order sets for the transport program reviewed and approved by medical directors. Communicate effectively with team members. This role functions as an expert resource for direct care across the system and supports all staffing levels. Responsibilities include delivering respiratory care such as therapeutic treatments, oxygen therapy, arterial blood gas analysis, ventilator management, airway management, and high-risk deliveries, including intubation with proper certification.
