What the PRN Research Technician does at Worldwide

A PRN Research Technician, along with other technicians, performs the majority of study procedures. They follow Worldwide Clinical Trials (WCT) procedures and study protocol requirements for technical and laboratory tasks. The PRN Research Technician works under the supervision of the Assistant Supervisor, Laboratory Services, and the Supervisor, Laboratory Services, but does not supervise other staff.

Responsibilities
  1. Collect and process lab samples (blood, urine, and other body fluids as needed).
  2. Properly label aliquot tubes for studies.
  3. Perform procedures such as centrifuging, urine monitoring, and fecal collection following training and protocol requirements.
Qualifications
  • Ability to perform duties efficiently and accurately at a fast pace.
  • Willingness to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Experience as a lab technician or related medical coursework or background.
