Position Summary / Career Interest:
The Rehab Technician II works as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team. They support the clinicians and the day-to-day operations of the rehab services department. They assist with direct and indirect aspects of patient care as directed by the clinical staff.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
  • Demonstrates competence in critical thinking, interpersonal relationships, and technical skills.
  • Performs and monitors patient intervention as directed by clinical staff.
  • Communicates effectively and promptly with clinical staff regarding patient care needs.
  • Records patient interactions in compliance with departmental guidelines.
  • Performs operational duties to maintain equipment and supports regulatory compliance.
  • Assists clinicians with patient care activities to support the patient care plan under the direction of the clinical staff.
  • May provide patient interventions without direct supervision (clinician on-site directing interventions, available by pager).
  • Performs administrative duties as assigned.
  • Understands regulatory requirements related to the clinical area.
  • Follows departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Builds good rapport with patients and maintains professionalism with colleagues, patients, and visitors.
  • Supports departmental needs and demonstrates willingness to assist in all areas.
  • May assist in developing, collecting, and analyzing performance improvement data.
  • Assumes responsibility for safety and risk management issues.
  • Uses resources efficiently and effectively.
  • Engages in continuous learning and self-improvement.
  • Works collaboratively as part of a team to achieve goals.
  • Must perform the professional, clinical, and technical competencies required for the assigned unit or department.
