LewisGale Hospital Pulaski in Pulaski, Virginia is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a PRN role. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage ventilation, and support the care team across emergency, critical care, and acute settings.

Qualifications

• NBRC-RRT certification required.
• RRT/State license required.
• ACLS within 6 months of employment start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment start date.
• PALS within 6 months of employment start date.
• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and determine interventions.
• Deliver oxygen, aerosolized meds, airway clearance techniques, and therapies across care settings.
• Manage ventilation and airway support, including invasive and noninvasive modes.
• Educate patients and families; collaborate with physicians and nurses; assist with newborn stabilization when needed.
• Maintain and sanitize equipment; ensure readiness and infection prevention standards.
