Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join their team. In this role, you will use x-ray equipment to obtain images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Responsibilities include performing various radiology exams, producing quality images for interpretation, and educating patients.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, hold a current state license, and possess a BLS certification. This position pays $34.00 per hour.

Qualifications

Radiology Technologists use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a Radiologist and are responsible for preparing patients for the exam, moving and instructing the patient into the proper position, correctly operating the equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient. Radiology Technologists may go on to specialize in more specific imaging techniques such as bone densitometry, cardiovascular-interventional radiography, computer tomography, mammography, magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear medicine.

A caregiver in this position works PRN (as needed) variable shifts including weekends and holidays. Must be able to float to CCF Mentor location.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintain documentation.
• Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
• Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Physical Requirements

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

• Minimum hourly: $34.00
• Maximum hourly: $34.00
