Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence Rehabilitation Hospital East in El Paso, TX, operated with Lifepoint Health, is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care across rehab/acute settings. The RN will perform assessments, nursing interventions, and essential documentation while coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safety and quality.

Applicants should have a BSN/ADN/Diploma, at least six months of rehab/med-surg experience, active RN license, and CPR/BCLS; ACLS and CRRN

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN, ADN, or Nursing Diploma program.
• Minimum six months of Rehab/Medical-Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• CPR/BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred; CRRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care through assessments, nursing interventions and documentation.
• Initiate and implement nursing interventions based on patient needs.
• Deliver age-appropriate care and ensure patient safety.
• Document medical necessity and nursing activities in a timely, accurate manner.
• Develop and revise Interdisciplinary Care Plans for assigned patients.
• Perform timely Quality Improvement assessments and related duties.

How You’ll Contribute

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care through assessments, nursing interventions, documentation, and interdisciplinary coordination, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.

Essential Functions

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify individual care needs.
• Initiate and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Deliver care appropriate to the condition and age of each patient.
• Document medical necessity and nursing activities in a timely and accurate manner.
• Complete and revise Interdisciplinary Care Plans for assigned patients.
• Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

This role requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Education

Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program.

Experience

Minimum six months of Rehab and/or Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.

License

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.

Certifications

CPR/BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred. CRRN preferred.
