Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in the assigned setting. You will communicate with physicians, leadership, and a multidisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes, applying nursing processes, critical thinking, compassion, integrity, and empathy.

You will perform general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization, while supporting the autonomy and rights of patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure with current license in good standing.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS/PALS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care in the assigned care setting.
• Communicates and collaborates with physicians, leadership, co-workers, and other multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization.
• Assists physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.
• Identifies and addresses psychosocial needs of patients and family; communicates with social services regarding discharge needs.
