Job summary

You will collaborate with physicians, leadership, and a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes, applying nursing processes, critical thinking, compassion, and integrity.

You will educate patients and families and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• RN licensure is required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in current unit or specialty area.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS/PALS specialty certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient appropriately and accurately based on their medical condition.
• Administers ordered medications as prescribed.
• Provides age-appropriate patient care and education.
• Demonstrates ability to teach plan and evaluates learning effectiveness with family involvement.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to provide patient care.
• Assists physicians with procedures and provides technical and manual skills.
• Addresses psychosocial needs and coordinates post-discharge planning with social services.
• Practices cost-effective care and prudent use of supplies and equipment.
• Prioritizes patient care and promotes patient safety.
