Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center in Texas seeks a registered nurse to provide high‑level professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.

This role supports the hospital's mission and safety standards, collaborates with the care team, and participates in education for patients and families; prior acute care RN experience is preferred; BLS and Texas license are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Six months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication and teamwork.
• Manages the nursing components of patient and family education.
• Communicates with team, patients and families and confirms understanding of information.
• Creates and maintains a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, staff and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate, timely written patient information.
• Administers medications and IV therapy safely and accurately.
• Shows ownership for performance and professional growth.
• Uses the nursing process to ensure quality care throughout the episode of care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
